For those seeking something beyond the bowl of pho, the stir-fry selections are equally enticing: the Mongolian Shrimp and Orange Chicken showcase bold, savory notes balanced with tender textures. Vegetarians and vegans will find delight in the Tofu Stir-Fried Vegetables and the thoughtfully prepared spring rolls that customers like Betty Moses have praised for their satisfying and wholesome taste.

One cannot overlook the standout drinks, especially the creamy and luscious Thai Iced Tea with Boba or one of their inventive smoothies ranging from Avocado to Jackfruit—each priced at a reasonable $5.99, offering a sweet complement to your meal and a refreshing treat on a sunny day.

The dining experience is elevated by sincere hospitality, illustrated through real guest stories: Carolyn Pust recounts how the staff’s kindness during a difficult time made a meaningful difference when her child recovered with gentle care through nourishing pho broth. Some guests note minor quirks, such as a small surcharge for credit card payments or slightly modest meat portions, but these are far outweighed by the quality, freshness, and overall value the restaurant consistently delivers. Jeremy J's enthusiasm for the flavorful soups and diverse menu options reflects the genuine warmth and satisfaction Pho 38 inspires among its patrons.

For a meal that feels like a comforting embrace, steeped in rich tradition with a modern twist, Pho 38 is a genuine find in Oakdale. So good! Hot coffee was delightful, soup was nice even when it’s hot out, and the veggies and variety were pleasant. #32 and number #5

This place is a gem. The grilled chicken spring rolls were the best I've had. The seasoning on the chicken complimented the freshness of the veggies and the wrapper had a just the right amount of chewing. The peanut sauce was perfect. I had the brisket and beef ball pho and I wouldn't change a thing.

My kid had food poisoning, to get liquids in her after the hospital discharged her i got her pho broth. The woman that helped me gave me noodles on the side and said it will help her! So nice, REALLY did get her through the ordeal.

Very clean. Food is great. Ingredients are fresh. The volume of meat is a little bit low. Great service. $1 surcharge for credit card.

Food is good! Service by one of the servers was FABULOUS. Lady server (she had braces). The guy server was horrible! The type of server that just shouldn't be serving. Asked for veggies, then when he came with that, I realized they forgot to give us water, so I asked whenever he had a chance, to bring the water. He replied, "you should have told me that before, when I was getting your vegetables." Ummmmm. Ok. I asked when I ordered. But, I guess the gal who took our order didn't relay the message to him, so our water was not delivered until half way into the meal. And, I heard the guy server tell the lady server to get it, and so she did, in between dropping food off to other tables. Not impressed by the male server. So, if you go here with the intention that you might get subpar service, but yummy food, you'll like it here. Pho soup base was great, but the cuts of meat was mostly cartilage. I had a chicken, vegetable, noodle bowl. It's like a cold noodle salad. The flavor was great. Good portion for the price. We still paid about $30 with tip which isn't horrible, we had 1 pho, 1 chicken/noodle bowl, gyoza appetizer, 1 Vietnamese iced coffee, and boba Thai iced tea. Again the food was good, service is good if you get the nice server.

Wanted to try some local Pho , we usually go to iPho in Modesto . The quality of meat wasn’t too great . The broth and noodles were excellent though, I’d eat here again . I had a coconut smoothie as well and could tell they used fresh coconut, wasn’t disappointed at all.
